Over 160 resorts across North America were included in the poll, but only the following made the cut. What do you think of the list which ones do you not agree with? Are there any resorts that you belive should be on this list?

Change in the air for both Thirty Two and Etnies!

Thirty Two and Etnies have added new people to their family: Jon Kooley, Scott Stevens, Chris Bradshaw, Nima Jalali, Ben Bilocq, Chris Grenier and Johnny Miller will be shredding for ThirtyTwo and etnies this season. What do you think of this addition? Do you think it was a good decition made to add these riders, which riders do you think should have made it and which should not have?

Shine On premier


Shine on is making its way to Vancouver! The Vancouver premier of Shine On will be Saturday, December 5th on top of Mt Seymour. They are planning on having a huge outdoor screen . While you are there you can also check out the Rome Pre Jib Contest. The premiere will go down right after the contest awards at around 4pm. Do you think it is a good idea to have it at Seymour, and do you think it is a good idea to have it out in this type of weather?

Snowvember


Whistler/Blackcomb is breaking records. According to the resort’s web site, November is officially the snowiest month ever! The base is at 195 cm (77 inches); the total snowfall accumulation is 548 cm (216 inches!). Do you think that december will have more snow? What doi you think of the snow this month?

Capix



This season Capix came out with a new line of snowboarding helmets with large caps. These helmets became popular very very fast, but some poeple have issues with theses helmets. Some say that they are not safe and that they make no point for a helmet because of their caps. Some companies such as bern have discountinued their large caps and made them much smaller. What do you think about this? Do you feel that you would be more safe with a normal helmet , or that there is not a diffrence? Which one do you prefer the large caps, the small caps or no caps?

Grenade Games 5



Monster Energy has announced that it has joined forces with Grenade Gloves to bring the Grenade Games to Whistler during the Telus World Ski and Snowboard Festival this April. Now in their fifth year, the Grenade Games have set themselves apart as the snowboard industries best end-of-season contest and party. The Grenade Games, events will combine the typical snowboard event with an unexpected twist. The Superpipe has evolved into something bigger in better, snowboarders will be challenged to hurl themselves down a mogul field for the first-of-its-kind dual slalom mogul event.

Quicksilver Showdown over the city: March 27-28



















The Quiksilver Showdown Over the City is one of the top snowboarding events in Canada that attracts pros and amateurs. Going into its 3rd year, the hype continues to build about who will be the next stand out and who will walk away with the $20K in cash!

This year’s event is a Men Only format and is a 3-Star designation on the Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour. From this, competitors earn valuable tour points that will rank them internationally as well as gain them even more exposure and coverage in the international tour spotlight.

- 100 rider capacity
- Please note that this is a mens only event.
- Amateur qualifying is open to all riders.
- Online Registration will open March 2

TELUS World Ski&Snowboard Festival 09!




This is the BIGGEST annual celebration of music, arts, sports & culture that takes place on any mountain resort. For 10 days and 10 nights, Whistler has 50 live concerts, major pro ski and snowboard comps, legendary arts events, endless nightlife and the best spring skiing & riding in the world.There are events for everybody ! There are also fashion shows going on all week long!

This week not only did the mountains receive snow but so did we ! This past week Grouse received 57 new centimeters of snow, cypress with 30 cm of new snow and Seymour with 50 cm! Unfortunately though because of all the snow the conditions up there have not been the best. What type of person are you? Would you rather it to be snowing all year long or it to be sunny? Also do you prefer the snow to be kept on the mountains or ,do you like a snowfall down here every so often?

Roxy Chickadee Jam


The Chickadee Jam is an all girls snowboard contest that is taking place Sunday,March 1 , 2009 that will send one girl to the 5th Annual Roxy Chicken Jam in Mammoth California – all expenses paid! She will receive a qualifying slopestyle spot at the Roxy Chicken Jam, walk away with $1000 cash and the opportunity to showcase her talent amongst some of the best female riders in the world. Second and Third will also receive cash prizes. There will be Pro and Amateurs categorie. Those wanting to step it up and win the cash with the trip can register in the Pro category and girls who just wanna have fun, win prizes and see what this jam is all about, can register in the Am category.
